How to Prepare Your Child for Their First Easter Camp

Freddie Pierrepont

At The Only Camps, we believe that embarking on an adventure in sports is not just a rite of passage; it's the beginning of a journey towards a healthy, active lifestyle that lasts well beyond the school years.

With health being more important than ever, our challenge is to captivate, inspire, and instil a lifetime of good habits in your children, using sport as both the catalyst and the driver.

As we prepare for our upcoming Easter camp, we understand the mix of excitement and nervousness that comes with sending your child to camp for the first time.

Here's a quick guide to ensuring your child is ready for this transformative experience, underpinned by our ethos of loving, developing, specialising, and pursuing sports.

Understanding Your Child's Readiness for Camp

The journey with The Only Camps can start as young as 4 years old and continue through to 18, offering a varied program that caters to all aspirations—whether to enjoy sport for fitness and fun or to take sporting abilities to the next level.

Assessing your child's readiness for camp involves considering their age, enthusiasm, and how sports align with their interests, ensuring they are set for a path of growth and development.

Choosing the Right Easter Camp

Our Easter camps offer a diverse array of activities, designed to meet the needs of every young athlete, from those just starting their journey in sports to those looking to hone their skills further.

Our commitment to developing brilliant young athletes through a program that offers love for the sport, development of skills, specialisation, and the pursuit of excellence ensures that every child finds their place.

This is why we offer Mini and Junior camps designed to be appropriate for smaller and older kids. Mini Camps are great for ages 4 - 7 and Juniors for ages 7-11. We are also super supportive of allowing 7 year olds into the Junior Class if suitable.

Preparing Your Child for Camp

  • Health Check-Up: Ensuring your child is physically ready to participate in the array of activities we offer is crucial. A pre-camp checkin can set the stage for a successful camp experience.

  • Set Expectations: Discussing what camp will be like, including the importance of safety, staying healthy and hydrated helps ease any apprehensions, aligning with our goal to foster a supportive environment.

  • Packing List: Personal touches, like a favourite stuffed toy or a family photo, alongside the essentials, ensure your child feels prepared and comforted, embodying our ethos of creating a home away from home.

The Only Camps Difference

At The Only Camps, we stand out by not just offering dynamic multi-sport camps but by providing a platform for participants to start their journey in sports from a young age and grow with us.

Our aim is to cater to all — those looking to enjoy their sport and stay fit, as well as those with aspirations to excel further.

Through our camps, your child has the opportunity to learn from professional athletes, ensuring a unique and enriching experience that fosters a love for sports and cultivates a lifestyle of health and activity.

Secure Your Child's Spot

As the Easter holidays approach, consider The Only Camps as your child's gateway to not just a camp experience, but a journey towards a healthy, active lifestyle.

Our Easter camp is an opportunity for your child to forge lasting memories, nurture significant growth, and develop in an environment that is committed to their well-being and development in sports.

Join us this Easter to embark on a journey of health, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Secure your child's spot at our next camp and watch as they begin a journey that goes well beyond just the school holidays.
