Our Mission

TheOnlyMission1.jpg

At The Only Camps, we’re driven by the idea that being active and enjoying your sport is a journey not a destination. Health has never been more important, but we understand it doesn’t always come easy. With this is mind its our challenge to help captivate, inspire and grow a lifetime of good habits to ensure a healthy lifestyle beyond school years.

Sport is the catalyst and the driver in our vision.

Secondly, and another main reason we started TOC is we want to help develop brilliant young athletes.

Our varied program of coaching provides the perfect platform for participants to start their journey with us at 4 years old, all the way through to 18.

Our aim is to cater for all. From those who want to enjoy their sport and stay fit and active, to those who have higher aspirations to take their sport to the next level.

Our platform, will provide either pathway.

Love - Develop - Specialise - Pursue

Some of our WHY…?

THE PROCESS

We know first-hand the biggest growth occurs when enjoyment, motivation and challenge meet.

It’s what we build TOC around. Regardless of ambition or ability, we want all of our participants, on any platform —first and foremost—to have fun. This is how we start to build motivation. And when motivated, we can start to challenge.

Some attend our camps just for fun, some because of a passion, others because they have a dream of one day playing professionally.

Regardless of which one is you, or what you want from a sports coach, these are The Only Camps you need to attend.

WHY SPORT?

Most of us might not know why or how we got into sport. But we do know why we continue to play. It doesn’t even matter which sport we play. Just playing is enough.

Sport naturally leads to a healthy lifestyle. It requires regular practice and training, which provides consistency and accountability. Performance can often be based on body composition, meaning how you fuel your exercise may have an impact on what you put in your body. All key attributes and habits to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Alongside this sport teaches us the importance of hard work, discipline, respect and resilience. It teaches us how to work on our own and in a team. And, most importantly of all, it opens us up to people from all walks of life, irrespective of race, gender, or background - many of which end up becoming friends for life.

And that’s what drives us here at TOC. Yes, the hard work, the desire to better ourselves, to grow and to learn. But also the ability to stay active, have fun, form new friendships and strengthen existing ones.

BETTER PEOPLE MAKE BETTER ATHLETES

We look up to our biggest role models - Chris Robshaw, Joe Root, Luke Taylor, Tamsin Greenway - because they’re the best in their field. But, more often than not, they’re also the best off of it as well.

Hard work, perseverance, respect, resilience… The lessons sport teaches us are endless. And these lessons stay with us off the field of play and throughout later life.

Our team is made up of current and former athletes, and we understand this as much as anyone. It’s what drives us and The Only Camps. First class coaching, amazing facilities, characteristics and lessons that mean as much off the pitch as they do on it.

PROFESSIONAL ASPIRATIONS? - For our older athlete

So you want to be the next Chris Robshaw? Anya Shrubsole? Luke Taylor? Tamsin Greenway? Joe Root?

Skill, speed, strength, stamina. And strategy, too.

In order to be the best, you have to aspire to train like them. Physically and mentally.

This is one of our guiding principles here at The Only Camps. We know players improve the most when they understand the ‘what’, the ‘why’, and the ‘how’. We’re not here to just keep you occupied with boring drills. We want to teach you how to think like a professional athlete. So you understand why you’re doing what you’re doing and exactly how and when that translates into a real life sport.

In return, all we ask for is hard work, respect and the willingness to learn.
